Cross Borders Policy

In our effort to keep you constantly informed on updates for our travel partners we would like to share some important information.

It has come to our attention that some cruise lines are monitoring bookings made for International Clients.

Some of the cruise line have instituted a policy that prohibits travel agents from the United States and Mexico and other countries from marketing and selling their product to residents outside of these geographic areas and therefore commission will not be paid on the bookings.  There may be exceptions made for past passengers or dual nationality citizens subject to approval by these cruise lines.

The client should have a physical US Address in order to earn commissions not just a PO Box.

It should be noted that this is not an attempt by the cruise lines to limit business or to avoid paying commissions but rather to protect the global travel agent community.

Please be aware that although other cruise lines may not have a published statement they may in fact have a cross border policy.

You should first check with each cruise line and if you think this may apply to your booking then please email susan@travelnetwork.com with the specific booking information.
